Raul Castro Willing to Talk to America After The Chimp Leaves Office

CAMAGUEY, Cuba - Raul Castro said Thursday that Cuba has avoided the collapse the U.S. predicted when his brother Fidel fell ill a year ago, and signaled he was willing to talk with a new American administration after President Bush leaves power.
Of 98 countries that I have visited around the world, Cuba has to be one of my favorites. There is simply no place else like it in the West Indies. The 45 year old American embargo against Cuba is totally ineffective; at its worst it harms American business much more than Cuba and Cubans. It needs to end but it will not end with the Chimp in office.

This story about Castro's brother being willing to talk with the United States is encouraging. I have long fantasized about being on the first ferry to sail from Key West to Havana after the stupidity of the embargo is over. Maybe it will happen sooner than I thought.
