America's Priorities
Yesterday during afternoon rush hour in Minneapolis this bridge over the Mississippi River on Interstate 35W collapsed. At least seven people were killed along with scores of injured.
As tragic as this incident was and is, it should be a wake up call for a few Americans.
Isn't it ironic that just yesterday the Congressional Budget Office released a report that states since September 2001 and the inception of Bush's war of terrorism, this country has pissed away $602 billion on military expenditures in Iraqnam and Afghanistan. And for that gargantuan amount of money we have gained nothing but nearly 4,000 dead American kids and the name of the United State has been seriously blemished in the eyes of the world.
We can piss away those kinds of dollars as Bush chases his tail, but we can't spend money to ensure that our infrastructure is safe and sound and secure for all to use. Something tells me that the priorities of the Bush Abomination are not where they should be.
Wake up Sheeple.
