ABC News reports that the Bush administration is opposing a congressional effort to restore full educational benefits for returning veterans. “Senate Democrats, led by Virginia’s Jim Webb, want the government to pay every penny of veterans’ educational costs, from tuition at a public university to books, housing and a monthly stipend.” The administration is resisting because it finds the program “cumbersome.”
Remember this the next time you see Bush dashing off to a photo op with some troops headed out to be killed for his lies in Iraq. Remember also that it was this same troop supporting AWOL bastard who required that American troops wounded in Iraqnam pay for the meals they were served while in military hospitals. That went on until Congressman David Obey(D-WI) went ballistic and got the rule changed.
Yup, our Failure-in-Chief certainly supports the troops.
