Rudy Guliani - Shot Down By Those He Claims to be "One Of"

Beautiful!!

Rudy Giuliani has insulted all September 11th first responders, family groups and especially those of us who are battling life threatening illnesses with his delusional statement, "I was at Ground Zero as often, if not more than most workers. I was there working with them." Many of us operated at the site from day one until its closure in late May 2002. First, as a rescue mission and then in the recovery of the victims and we can honestly say that your claim is a bold face lie. The majority of the time that Mr. Giuliani spent at Ground Zero was for photo ops with visiting dignitaries and celebrities, not once did he do what he claimed and "work with" the construction workers, fireman, police officers and other first responders. Is this just another cheap political stunt to win votes?

On 9/11 many brave first responders risked their lives to save others, they did not run north like Mr. Giuliani. Frequently, he is proclaimed a hero, but in reality he was not a hero that day or any day since. 70% of September11th first responders are experiencing health problems and that started because Rudy told us the air was safe and did not give us 'face fitted' respirators until November 2001. Hundreds of seriously ill first responders will be Rudy Giuliani's true legacy.

We will not stand by and let Rudy Giuliani recreate history. While Mr. Giuliani claims to "be one of us" working on the pile, the truth is that he rarely visited the site and after leaving office he never once lifted a finger to help the hundreds of 9/11 first responders that are dealing with life threatening illnesses. While we suffered, he was off making millions of dollars and planning his presidential campaign on the backs of true heroes.

Mr. Giuliani, your comments were reckless and caused pain to many 9/11 families. We are demanding a public apology for your incorrect and distorted statements.
