Are Repignican Leaders Aiding the "Enemy"?

For the second time in as many weeks, a senior House Republican may have divulged classified information in the media.

In an opinion article published in the New York Post Thursday, Rep. Pete Hoekstra, R-Mich., reported the top-secret budget for human spying had decreased -- the type of detail normally kept under wraps for national security reasons.

"The 2008 Intelligence Authorization bill cut human-intelligence programs," Hoekstra wrote in the piece, in which he also criticized "leaks to the news media."

Of course it doesn't matter that Hoekstra has leaked classified information to the media. In Bush world there are no consequences for wrong doing. But, can you imagine the outcry and calls for impeachment or jail time if a Democrat had done this? Headlines in the media would say "Why Does Congressman X Hate Our Freedom?" But a Repignican did this so nothing will happen.

Several months ago I sat a couple rows forward of Congressman Hoekstra on a flight from Washington National to Detroit. Deplaning there I walked up to Hoekstra and saying that I was one of his constituents from Grand Rapids, I asked him "so Congressman, how is the surge in Iraq going?" He put his best neocon lie-filled smile on his face and said "We're making tremendous progress in Iraq." Now that he's taken my bait I replied, "Well Congressman tell that to the parents of the four American kids who died in Iraq this morning because of your lies." Not saying a word, Hoekstra (in typical bully fashion) darted away from me.

In answer to your question "are Repignican leaders aiding the enemy?" I say, "Repignican leaders ARE the enemy."
