Gore Hasn't "Ruled Out" Run for White House

(click on the post title for the story)
This is fantabulous news. Granted, Al hasn't come out (yet) and said "I'm running" but he certainly hasn't said "hell no, ain't gonna happen" (actually that sounds like something Chimpy McFlightsuit would say - not an educated person like Gore).

I have my fingers and toes and eyes crossed that Al runs. Right now he's in the spotlight and not spending a penny on advertising. Next week his book comes out and that will be more exposure and press. Then in July he hosts the Live Earth concert that will bring together two billion (with a B) people around the world to heighten awareness of global warming and more coverage will follow.

Then in October Al will receive the Nobel Peace Prize. What a novel concept for a world leader to practice - peace.

I'm hoping that by October both Hillary (who in their right mind supports her anyway?) and Obama will have savaged each other to the point where they are impotent. That will leave only John Edwards (whom I now support) as the only leader. However John will be portrayed as too sanguine to be President. There will be no front runner on our side.

Then, in Oslo, Al picks up the Nobel Prize. He gives his acceptance speech, and then, at the end, clears his throat and says, "oh, by the way, I'm also announcing today my intention to win my second term as the elected President of the United States."

There will be a collective pants filling on the part of the Republic Party candidates but Al will come home, kick ass, take names, and be inaugurated on January 20,2009 at 12:01 p.m.

Count on it.

How great would it be to actually have an intelligent, competent, capable leader who won't embarrass himself and the entire nation everytime he opens his mouth?
