By Gubernatorial proclamation (click on the post title to see it), the compassionate Democratic Governor of Michigan has ordered that flags in Michigan be flown at half-staff or half-mast to honor those who have fallen.
How many compassionately conservative governors from the Republic Party have done this? Why hasn't the "commander guy" done this on a national level? If he did, of course, the flag would fly at half staff every day. Hell, Bush cant be bothered to attend the funeral of one kid he has killed in Iraqnam. How can we expect him to do something humane like even honoring them with a flag at half staff?
