More Repugnican Rectal Reasoning

Rachel Louise Carson (May 27, 1907 — April 14, 1964) was an American marine biologist whose landmark book, Silent Spring, is often credited with having launched the global environmental movement. Silent Spring had an immense effect in the United States, where it spurred a reversal in national pesticide policy. She was posthumously awarded the Presidential Medal of Freedom.

Despite all of the many contributions Rachel Carson made to humankind, Senator Tom Coburn, a pustule on the anus of life from Oklahoma, has held up a measure in the Senate to honor Rachel Carson on the occasion of what would have been her 100th birthday. All because she spoke out on the side of human beings in the fight to protect us all from the ravages of pesticides. You can read more about this travesty by clicking on the post title.

The good Senator from Oklahoma needs to drink a liter of DDT this weekend and then call us all on Monday morning to tell us how little effect it has had on his system.

You can call Senator Coburn at 202-224-5754 and tell him where to shove it if you'd like.

Fuck you Senator.
