Wally World To Pay Fine for Underpaying Employees

If there weren't already enough reasons to boycott Wal-Mart, here's another one. At least this time it cost them a small pittance in their billions of dollars profit each year.
LOS ANGELES (Reuters) - Wal-Mart Stores Inc. has agreed to pay more than $3.9 million to about 50,000 current and former employees in California who were underpaid overtime and other wages, the state's labor commissioner said on Tuesday.

The world's largest retailer also agreed to pay $198,900 in civil penalties to the state, Labor Commissioner Angela Bradstreet said in a statement.

That seems like a hefty fine payment doesn't it? Yes it does until you divide 3,900,000 dollars by 50,000 employees and you find they are paying 78 dollars per employee. Hardly an adequate fine to convince these money hungry Repignicans to treat their employees fairly.
