Meet the Next Senator from Minnesota

We all knew this was coming. At least those of us with an IQ greater than a woodchuck knew this was coming. Today, on his final show with Air America Radio, Al Franken announced that he is running for Senator from Minnesota. Although the rumor cannot be confirmed, we hear that soon-to-be-ex Senator Norm Coleman was silently (but vigorously) filling his shorts when Al made the announcement. Click on the post title to be taken to the story.

And since you are reading my blog you must be a flaming liberal also (or, less likely, a repugnican troll), you might want to go to this website to learn more about Al's candidacy.

When you go to Al's site make sure you click on the link that says "Click Here For a Message from Al" DAMN, man!!! Listen to what he says...and then ask yourself what a blood bath it will be in a debate when Norm Coleman foolishly evades comments about gutting Social Security or about hosing Pell Grants for kids going to college. It will be so beautiful watching Al rip this son of a bitch to shreds.

Also, while you are on Al's site, make sure you click on the "contribute" link. I did, and after the money went into Al's campaign I got this message back from Al - a predictably great jab at repugnicans:

Thanks -- your contribution has been processed!

Thank you for helping us win this race. Your gift will help us feed our volunteers, buy our banners, pay our phone bills, and hire our staff. If this were a Republican campaign, you'd probably be in line for a big tax cut or a subsidy for your company now, but since it's not, please accept our gratitude

Anyone who doesn't believe that Al Franken is the real deal will be in for a huge surprise when the 111th Congress convenes in less than 2 years and they see a formerly cauliflower-eared wrestler from that state to the west of Wisconsin take the oath of office. I can hardly wait.
