Bush Vetoes Kids Health Insurance Bill

WASHINGTON - President Bush vetoed legislation Wednesday that would have expanded government-provided health insurance for children, his second slap-down of a bipartisan effort in Congress to dramatically increase funding for the popular program.
I'm confused. I thought Bush was the compassionately conservative pro-family guy who was going to leave no child behind? I guess these children didn't have money to contribute to Repignofascist candidates so thats why he left them behind?
