Oil Hits $99 a Barrel as Dollar Sinks Lower

SEOUL, Nov 21 (Reuters) - Oil soared to record highs on Wednesday, drawing within a hair's breadth of the $100 milestone as the U.S. dollar plumbed new lows and the onset of cold U.S. weather stirred anxiety over winter supplies.

U.S. light crude for January delivery surged to a record of $99.29 a barrel early in the session, but pared those gains to stand 61 cents higher at $98.64 by 0706 GMT.
I wonder if this means that Bush will now land on the deck of an oil tanker and unfurl a banner that reads "Mission Accomplished"?

Are all you idiots who voted for Bush in 2000 or 2004 or both still happy with your vote?

I find this curious. All these "messes" will hit the American public by March or April of '08 and not recover for months. The housing bust - higher gas prices - the falling dollar - Scott's book - the current market. Not to mention the ongoing war. Bush knows this. The GOP know this, so why let it happen? Could Bush be "misunderestimating" his ace in the whole? The effects of withdrawing a meager amount of troops, on the public, as the savior of the GOP? I doubt it. If he withdraw all the troops (which he won't) it'll be too for the GOP to recover. Isn't it all curious? Makes you wanna go ... hmmmmmm!! Bush must have something up his sleave. Sure as shit President Cheney does.
