A colleague and friend in Michigan sent the following email to House Speaker Nancy Pelosi. He used this her office website address to contact her initially, but received an automated response saying she could not confirm him as a resident of her district. Instead, if he wanted to contact her regarding her position as Speaker, he needed to use this email address: americanvoices@mail.house.gov
My friend hit the nail on the head with many issues in this email. Pelosi needs to hear this and more from everyone of us who cares.

It is imperative that you and the House begin immediately proceedings to impeach the President and Vice President. These men are mendacious, treasonous, profoundly dishonest and frighteningly incompetent. The President and Vice President have not upheld their oaths to "preserve, protect, and defend the Constitution of the United States."George W. Bush and Dick Cheney have committed criminal and treasonous acts.
They have done incalculable damage to the United States and the Constitution. If you fail to impeach these men, only greater harm will befall our country. If you fail to impeach these men, future presidents will assume they, too, can usurp the power of the people and commit the same criminal, treasonous acts this President has committed. If you fail to impeach these men immediately, you too will fail in your responsibility to preserve, protect and defend the Constitution.
I voted for Democrats ONLY in 2006 for the express purpose of stopping George W. Bush's insanity. You HAVE NOT MET my expectations, you have not accepted your responsibility! You are mistaken if you think by avoiding this most important responsibility you will enhance the election prospects of Democrats in 2008. We may not have a country by November 2008 if you fail to act.
I insist, I demand, that you proceed immediately with impeachment hearings for the President and Vice President.
Immediately, PLEASE! This country CAN NOT WAIT!

I listened to some Dem Rep, I forget who, on Washington Journal saying impeaching Bush & Cheney is a waste of time as it will never get passed the Senate, after which every callers smacked him for not following the will of the people.
As you know c-span's WJ has 3 phone lines - Dem - Repuke and Indie ... every line was FOR impeaching.
Even if they don't get it passed the mere jesture of WANTING IMPEACHMENT shows us that Congress cares about our voices ... what part of that don't they get? Especially with their approval rating where it is.
