Unemployment Rate at 2-Year High. Another Bush Accomplishment

WASHINGTON - Hiring practically stalled in December, driving the nation's unemployment rate up to a two-year high of 5 percent and fanning fears of a recession.

Wait! How can this be? The Chimp in Chief keeps telling us that the economy is barreling along. We're led to believe that the rosy scenario finally blossomed. Everyone in Mudville is supposed to be ecstatic because mighty Dubya hit a home run.

You don't think Bush and his Administration have been lying to us about the status of the economy do you? You dont think that the free fall that the dollar has been in has anything to do with this do you? You don't believe for a second that the $9 Trillion dollar national debt that Bush has run up while jousting at non-existent terror windmills contributes to this do you?

Of course you don't - if you watch Fox News and listen to Rush. According to you the world is rosy and "jesus" will be returning soon.

For the rest of us stuck in reality, this sad news about unemployment is just one more nail in the coffin of the middle class - a group of people Bush has worked dilligently to disenfranchise. Only 380 more days until that creep is forever out of office. Lets hope our nation can survive that long.
