Another Reason I Dont Want Hillary in 2008

Despite her being called the "front runner" for the Democratic nomination in 2008, I have yet to meet a single Democrat who supports her - and that includes JoAnne and me. The reasons for not supporting Hillary are legion. One obvious reason is contained in this news story from yahoo.com news.

In this story we learn that
Clinton argued that the U.S. military has accomplished its original missions: removing Saddam Hussein from power, helping Iraqis hold democratic elections and giving them the ability to start establishing a political framework. Thus, she said the United States must "start bringing our troops out of this multisided, sectarian civil war."

What is most disingenuous about this statement is that despite Hillary's claim our original missions in Iraqnam were NOT to remove Saddam, help Iraqis hold elections and giving them a start at establishing a political framework.

Our original mission was to find and destroy weapons of mass deception - before Saddam could use them on the United States.

When Colin Powell went to the United Nations in February 2003 and gave his stirring speech and showed all of his "evidence" he didn't say a word about blowing up Iraq to help them have elections. He talked about the threat of weapons of mass deception and how we had to wipe them out before the "mushroom cloud" was over us.

When Deadeye Dick talked to neocon groups he didn't talk about establishing a political framework. He talked to us in death gripping terms about how Saddam was going to use weapons of mass deception on us - and none too soon.

And who could ever forget the rantings of the man child at 1600 Pennsylvania Avenue who saw a weapon of mass deception behind every tree. Remember it was our tough guy "president" who said innumerable times that Saddam wanted to use weapons of mass deception on us and why it was imperitive for the continuation of mom, home, and apple pie that we take out Saddam before he could use them on us.

The illegal invasion of Iraqnam was sold to us as a way to rid the world of weapons of mass deception... well...that and securing Iraq's oil wells for the use, enjoyment, and profit of contributors to the Republic Party....

Hillary has bought into the same line of deception. She voted FOR the war in Iraqnam and is now trying to make people think she's been 'agin it from the start.

Ah, Hillary, we remember where you voted in 2003 and why you voted that way in 2003. And to come back now and say the real mission was something you didn't vote for back then, is one of a billion reasons why you are not worthy of the privilege of being in the White House again - other than a guest in the National Park Service tour lines each morning.

In the picture at the beginning of this post you are reading the report of the Iraq Study Group. I suggest you read it again and again and again until you have memorized the very real fact that our "mission" in Iraqnam was to non-existent weapons of mass deception - it wasn't to help you get elected to the White House.
