How Is The Surge Doing in Your Neighborhood?

Attacks in Iraq last month reached their highest daily average since May 2003, showing a surge in violence as President George W. Bush completed a buildup of U.S. troops, Pentagon statistics show.

Despite all of the ducking and weaving we hear from the likes of Press Secretary Tony Snowjob, the surge is not working. Even with four of the five surged batallions in place in June, we still experienced the largest number of daily attacks in June for any month since the illegal invasion and occupation of Iraqnam began.

Only a fool will believe Bush on any of the proclamations and pronouncements he makes on how well things are going in Iraq. The United States won the battle in Iraqnam but has lost the war. Bush's ego won't accept that and won't allow for it. And hundreds of American kids and thousands of innocent Iraqis will die between now and January 2009 when an adult occupies the White House and puts a stop to this foolishness.

Today Bush is undergoing a colonoscopy. I hope they find his brain while performing the procedure, and with his brain in sight, I hope someone can pepper it with some intelligence.

Heckuva job, Dubya.
