Reagan-Era Repugnican Warns of Police State

Its bad enough when someone like me who has taken one Political Science course in his entire life can see the country turning into a police state. Its downright frightening when a life-long Republic Party apologist and former Reagan Administration official comes out and tells us the same thing.

Read this.

Old-line conservative Paul Craig Roberts -- a former Assistant Secretary of the Treasury under Reagan who has recently become known for his strong opposition to the Bush administration and the Iraq War -- by quoting the "strong words" which open Roberts' latest column: "Unless Congress immediately impeaches Bush and Cheney, a year from now the US could be a dictatorial police state at war with Iran."

"Could be" a dictatorial police state? Could be? Has this guy not heard about people being tossed from planes for having anti-Bush clothing on? Is he not aware of people being denied access to public buildings where Bush and Cheney are speaking because they won't sign a "loyalty oath"? Is he not aware of the illegal wire-tapping that the Bush Administration has implemented on the law abiding citizens of the country?

Could be went out of fashion in 2004. We're in one now. At least we have a respected Republic Party backer saying it for a change.
