House Democrats Unveil Trillion Dollar Tax Overhaul

WASHINGTON - The House's top Democratic tax writer outlined a $1 trillion plan Thursday to eliminate the alternative minimum tax and ease the tax burdens of most people by asking the rich and some companies to pay more.

"We have attempted to restore equity and fairness to the system," said Rep. Charles Rangel, chairman of the House Ways and Means Committee. He said his plan would mean net tax cuts to almost all families with incomes under $500,000.
Just watch. As soon as the Democratically-controlled House passes this bill it will be sent to the Senate where the spineless Democrats in "control" there will waffle in support because they will be afraid that Fox Opinion Network will shine poorly on them if they support helping the not-so-rich.

By some stroke of luck, should this bill make it past the House and Senate and land on Bush's desk, he will immediately veto it because it doesn't give enough tax breaks to his rich Repignofascist buddies in the top 1 percent of salary earners in the country.

And of course when that happens, the spineless Democrats in the Senate will roll over on their backs, expose their jugular to Rush Limbaugh and Glenn Beck and nothing will happen.

Wake up, sheeple.
