Another Troop Build Up Possible

This has gone far enough.

We were told in January 2007 that "the surge" would work and that by putting five more battalions into Iraqnam we would quell the insurgency (and open the door for British Petroleum and others to increase their profits from pilfering the Iraqi oil fields - but I digress).

Then when the surge isn't going so well, we are told, as recently as last week, that the surge really wasn't put in place completely until just two weeks ago when the fifth battalion arrived in Iraqnam.

All the while we are told that no final decisions will be made on Iraq until in September after General Petraeus and the US Ambassador make their assessment of the situation in Iraq (and that will certainly be a fair and balanced report).

Still, today we are faced with this:

The U.S. military's top general said Monday that the Joint Chiefs of Staff is weighing a range of possible new directions in Iraq, including, if President Bush deems it necessary, an even bigger troop buildup.

Making no predictions, Marine Gen. Peter Pace revealed that he and the chiefs of the Army, Navy, Marine Corps and Air Force are obliged to consider various troop-level scenarios before September, when Bush will receive an assessment of the Iraq situation from his top commander there, Gen. David Petraeus.

I don't know about you but I am certainly tired of having smoke blown up my ass by Bush and his cronies regarding the lost cause and lost war in Iraq. The only way this lunacy can be stopped is by the immediate removal of Bush, Cheney, and every other co-conspirator on Pennsylvania Avenue.
